URBAN TOOL grooveRider is nominated for the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD
On the 12th of january 2007, the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD jury meeting at ispo winter 07 took place in Munich.
The VOLVO SportsDesign Award, the Volvo Car Corporation and ISPO have established a new design competition for the sports industry, involving sports designers, industrial designers, inventors in the sports industry, design students and young designers. The Award honors the outstanding and innovative product and design developments of designers from all creative disciplines.
328 products from students, designers and and the entire sporting goods industry competed in seven categories. The innovative quality of this year’s products was on an outstandingly high level and due to the fact that there were more products in the competition than ever before, it was very difficult for the jury to make up their mind.
URBAN TOOL shows-up as one of the 5 best applicants in the category Active Wear at the 3rd VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD “PERSONAL DESIGN” at the international sports fair ISPO 2007 in Munich.
The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on February 3rd.
The international jury of the VOLVO SportsDesign Award summed:”The innovative quality of this year’s products was on an outstandingly high level and due to the fact that there were more products in the competition than ever before, it was very difficult for the jury to make up their mind.”
